Thank you for visiting.  You probably came here after hearing
of my activities as California’s second elected Insurance Commissioner
from 1994-2000.  Those were the most professionally rewarding years of 
my life.  I was honored with the trust voters had placed in me and I 
was resolved to serve them well.  Many significant accomplishments were 
achieved saving billions each year for California’s consumers which 
created some frustrations for my opponents. 
 	My administration ended with much controversy in 2000.  The 
purpose of this website is to let you know more about me, what I have 
accomplished, and the real facts on my departure from my position as 
Insurance Commissioner.
